The Pilot 13 Armor was created as a matching set for the Tech Advanced Armored helmet in late 2021. The customer’s expectations were clear: He wanted a futuristic, full-body armor with the same design elements the helmet has. It was quite a challenge to find the right balance between usage of metal parts and long term comfort, but in the end, the result was light enough to wear for a whole day. On the other hand, due to the final amount of magnesium alloy covering plates, durability was not on the question list.   

With the integrated hydration, wiring and quick release imitation system, the desired ’mech pilot’ look was achieved. Although the set’s trademark petrol-blue color goes well with the brown tones of rust, the costumer’s request was to apply scratches and causal signs of use only, which as a final step, were enough to bring the whole armor alive. – Dante
